Just in response to what Tracy said ages ago…

It may not be the prettiest looking game ever, but I’d like to see you do better.

And just because you’re not as smart as everyone else, and you can’t figure it out on the first try, doesn’t mean that it’s the game that’s dumb…

Interesting game, Tracy isn’t an interesting person I’d guess. The game is a puzzle. If a puzzle told you exactly how to solve it, it would be stupid. This is a good game, I thought. I couldn’t figure out the keypad for a long time, because I was trying like an idiot to make the rows add up to 9. Too much sudoku I guess. I was too excited to figure out the math when I got to the end, so I just cut the red and died, haha.

Reply

Anonymous January 27, 2012 at 4:28 am

I did that too on first attempt.

Reply

ootch March 3, 2008 at 4:17 pm

The last one is all HTML codes FF0000 is red 000000 is black simply times the numbers and whichever one equals the number is the one you cut!

Reply

A February 22, 2008 at 1:26 pm

FF0000 = Red because if you look at web based colors that is it’s hex color code
Same goes for 000000 = Black…. if you’ve ever programed anything for the web these are very common color choices and are easily recognized.

Reply

amelia February 18, 2008 at 8:19 am

that was so easy!!!!!!!!!!!! omg…

Reply

Lloyd February 13, 2008 at 3:16 pm

If there is no calculable relationship between the FF0000, 000000, the maths and the wire colour, it means that it is effectively a game of chance, not logic. That kills it me. Somebody please tell me that it is possible to calculate the right choice, and how!

Reply

Lloyd February 13, 2008 at 1:01 pm

This is truly agreat game but I cant see the relationship between the FF0000, its value and the colour it relates to. Can anyone explain it please?

Fun game. I don’t know what Tracy’s complaining about though.
You end up figureing it out eventually.
This game takes logic, but also a bit of luck.

i dont know anything about binary either, but the first puzzle i figured out on my own right away when i saw the green light turn on. the most frustratingly annoying part tho is that you never know where the numbers are going to change to, sometimes it changes from 2 to 9. but other than that a very good game!!! and thanks for the walkthrough!!!

Reply

Anonymous December 29, 2007 at 1:52 pm

I agree with Tracy that it is kind of presumptuous to have created the game so the person would have to automatically know what to do. But,t he walkthrough was an enormous help. I knew nothign about Binary code, so i would have been completely hopeless at this game ^^;

John December 26, 2007 at 3:58 pm

if it’s about math and logic then i’am no good.

Reply

Jake October 12, 2007 at 1:17 pm

Very Fun but too easy. The first few puzzles are easy, the switch one is tricky until you figure out the values of each switch and the last one simply requires you to know colour codes.

I think this game is no good! How are you suppose to know how to open the box in the first scene with out a little hint? It is illogical to think that everyone would automatically figure out that the lights click opposite the numbers. Only the person programming the game would know that right off the bat! If the programmer of this game was really intelligent, he or she would know that a box can be open is many, many different ways. The term “point-n-click” gives the forethought that the person playing the game will need to hunt for the code to the box or some type of hint leading the player to figure out how to open the box. Only a beginner computer nerd believes everyone thinks like him or her and therefore no need to give hints or look around for a clue!!

This game is definitely so-o-o a a beginner programmers attempt at making a “point-n-click” game. The graphics alone is proof of my statement (very stick figure, Crayola crayon looking).

This game is proof why it is important for young people to go to school, pay attention, and do assigned school work. Fluffing off in school only leads to NOT being able to produce highly intelligent work results!! Please do the rest of the world a favor, learn some intelligent computer skills, and quite boring us intelligent individuals with stupid products!!!

Just thought I’d let you know, you spelled “quit” wrong you moron. I just thought I’d say that because you are an ignorant bastard that knows nothing. Maybe a typical “point-n-click” game isn’t what it was designed for. Maybe it was supposed to be a basic simulation of what you may get in real life, because as you and all other “smart” people don’t seem to realize, as you seem to say, is that not all games are for the pure entertainment. And who cares if the graphics are crappy? Most flash games are at about this level from 2005. At least they are smooth with decent coloring and you can tell what is what, and that is what matters most. As for the lights, have you ever played the game Mastermind? It is exactly like that, but with numbers. I also beg to differ that a beginner computer nerd, as you say, does not expect everyone to think like him. And well, maybe it is a beginner programmers attempt at a game, but so what? Practice makes perfect, you can’t expect everyone to make a super awesome computer game that is so freaking amazing on their first try. So actually, this game is not proof why young people have to go to school, pay attention and do their assigned school work because it’s important to start with the basics, then build up from their, just the way school teaches them to do. This in no way proves that the programmer of this game “fluffed off” in school, but rather payed attention, and wanted to give it a shot and succeeded. Tim Bertrand, the programmer of this game, has succeeded in life because he knew that sticking to the basics would get him farther, because you can go more advanced from there as you get more used to the basics. He owns his own website, is up to date, and has created several more games. Thus, you are a moron who knows nothing. Good day, young sir.

First post, and first victor! Very easy game, but fun. Requires use of binary and hex codes. Fun.

Walkthrough (for those that helped me).

The code on the front changes every time. But just click push after each number. The lights on the bottom light up in the opposite order from the one you solve. If you solve the first number, the fourth light will light.

Click the upper left and get the loose keys. Arrange them so that all rows equal 15 (I think the 9 goes on the top, the 3 in the middle, the 6 on the third row, and the zero on the bottom)

Get the screwdriver.

Click on the panel to open the binary code. You must count to 1111. In binary, you need the 1024, the 64, the 16, the 4, the 2, and the 1. Turn all switches to the up position.

Then (from top to bottom), it is: U = up, D = down.

D D D U
D U D U
U U D U

Get the Key

Then open the panel. The code is listed in Hex code for colors. If you solve the mathematical equation, it says cut (number). The number changes every time, and so does the math problem. Solve both math problems. Whichever is equal to the number where it says cut, that is the one you cut. If it is FF0000, that is red, if it is 000000, it is black. Choose which to cut and you are done.

A logic based puzzle, with some maths thrown in. A nice game…couldn’t figure the last puzzle out though, not sure which mathematical sequencing it is based on.. so took a chance on Red, and it worked..
