The first of what is planned to be a series, Escape Series #1: The Car puts you in the driver’s seat of a parked and locked car with no apparent way out. Explore the vehicle, gather and combine items and see how quickly you can get out!

okay, so this game was kinda dumb… and i lost quite a bit of time trying to get the electrical tape to stay on the wiring.

Hey: Here is the walkthrough for “Escape the Room”, the second in the series. Note that THIS walkthrough was published FIRST.
1. Go right and read the note: Mr. Brown had a beautiful ring and got it fixed. He was going to pass it down. When you click on the line, it says “The key to time is in time itself”.
2. Go right. Get the wire hanger. Open the coat and take out the watch, which is jammed.
3. Click on the bottom of the screen to look down. Open the red box and remove the crowbar and the tin snips. Also take the photograph.
4. Click on the tin snips and combine them with the hanger to get a wire rod. Click on the watch and then use the rod to open the watch.
5. Click the knob on the right hand side of the watch and set the time to 3:25, the time seen in the ring photograph. Make sure you move the hour hand past 3. When you do this, a small compartment will pop open with a gold key.
6. Take the key (no, duh). Press return and click twice on the top of the screen to go to the panel in the ceiling. Use the crowbar to get rid of the wood and unlock the panel with the gold key.
7. In the creepy room, click on the lever. Wait for it to finish, and go back down. You will now see a blue room instead of a brown one. Note that only this screen is blue.
8. This time, the main part of the jacket doesn’t have anything, but the pocket does. Get the little personal calculator thingy. On the shelf, click the white thing.
9. Oh, look! An envelope! It is dated Nov. 17, 1987. The grandpa gave his grandson a ring. Hmm, why is that familiar? Maybe we should click to the right and read the note on the wall!
10. The key to Mr. Blue’s cadet is a date he’ll never forget. Try 111787 as the code, and it will work. Get the key. Go down to the bottom again, and use the key to open the brown box.
11. Looky, a ring! Go to the door (you don’t need to switch back to brown) and click on the ruby in the ring a couple times until it comes off. Attach the ruby to the wire rod.
12. In case you haven’t figured it out, you click on the doorknob, dummy!
Oh, just so I can prove this to my friends, I go to SMA. Beat that, fool!

WALKTHROUGH…
-Examine the console in the bottom middle of the front seat
-Open the lid and take the flashlight
-Turn around to the back seat
-Examine the console in the bottom middle again
-This time you will see the back of the console, the ashtray
-Pull out the lighter and take the small key underneath
-Return to the back seat
-Click the bottom right or bottom left area of the screen to look at the backseat floor
-Examine the floormat on the right and take the knife from underneath
-Return to the backseat
-Click the ceiling area, above the rear window
-Use the knife to remove the wiring guide from the ceiling
-Go to the front seat
-Examine the glove box and use the small key to open it
-Take the batteries and electrical tape
-Combine the batteries and flashlight
-Return to the backseat
-Use the knife to cut the straps on each side of the cushion
-Click the cushion to set it aside
-Click the small dark gray area behind the cushion
-Enter “E40″ on the numberpad (this can be seen from examining the instrument panel in the front seat. The E on the gas gauge is circled, and the speedometer is stuck on 40)
-Use the flashlight with batteries to see
-Break the cracked light cover on the left with either the knife, screwdriver, or hammer
-Take the key that falls on the floor
-Return to the front seat
-Examine the pedals underneath the steering wheel
-Use the screwdriver to open the panel underneath the steering wheel
-Following the wiring guide, only connect the red, blue, green, and gray wires. Use the electrical tape on each connection
-Examine the instrument panel behind the steering wheel
-Use the key in the ignition switch to turn the car’s electricity on
-Return to the area with the pedals, and press the trunk release button
-Exit through the trunk
