Yay! Years later, with help from Jo on the green box code only, I was able to escape! I totally forgot where the game was located, hence the delay. I’m glad my storybook walkthrough was able to help for the first half! This game was actually fun to figure out with everyone. Great job, guys!

jo and anonymous, think 2+6=8=H, mean that H is the hypotenuse (the longest side of the triangle). Wow GCSE maths really did help after all!!

Still though stuck on the green box!!!

good luck everyone

Got out by following the walkthrough but don’t understand where the word “pearl” came from? I’m also curious what the 2+6=8=h refers to in the game?

Reply

Charis January 18, 2008 at 8:29 am

Had the same problem with ‘pearl’ try typing it all in lower case, worked right away for me when i did that.

Wow… a lot happened since my Walkthrough here… just in case you can’t tell since there are a lot of Anonymous’s, I was the one posting the walkthrough in a story fashion, or the first Anonymous to comment here… this could get confusing, so I’ll just go by a different name next time. From now on I am Draw-Chan.

1. You should first get the candy from under the plate
2. Next get the knife next to the small yellow cabinet
3. Use the knife to cut open the end of the bed and get the green key
4. Open the left hand side drawer on the red cabinet
5. Press the buttons accordingly: middle, right, left and then middle again
6. Get the yellow key and use it on the middle cupboard on the red cabinet
7. use the hammer to break open the little yellow cabinet
8. with the red key open the right hand side of the red cabinet
9. Get the paper and use the pliers to get the nail out of the shoe
10. With the nail puncture the cup and get a yellow ball
11. Get the sheet of paper on the right of the red cabinet
12. next to the plate there is a green box place the yellow ball in the round slot and on the bottom type “pearl” and press space
13. go back to the plank looking thing on the wall with coloured spots on it and click accordingly: Blue, black, purple, dark green, yellow, light green, pink and red
14. Now get the key and leave

Yeah crystal I have same problem!

Reply

crystal January 3, 2008 at 11:38 pm

The clues that were given to me didn’t make any sense. The numbers I found around the room were 421 where 2 and 1 were both in the middle box. There are other games where I would be able to finish if the clues were the same. Thanks for the walk through. Does anyone else have this problem?

Reply

jo January 2, 2008 at 5:04 pm

GOD sorry about this! Triple post but I just did it!

Here is a revised walkthrough with the extra info.

1. Click on the plate on the shelf to get the sweet.
2. Click on the right hand side of the yellow cupboard to get the knife.
3. Click on the knife, drag over the end of the bed. Get the green key.
4. Use the green key on the red cabinet on the left hand side.
5. Press the buttons (middle, right, left, middle). We got this from the numbers around the room. Get the yellow key.
6. Use the yellow key on the middle cupboard on the red cabinet. Get the hammer.
7. Use the hammer on the yellow cabinet. Get the red key.
8. Use the red key on the right hand side of the red cabinet. Get the paper and the pliers.
9. Use the pliers on the shoe to get the nail.
10. Use the nail on the plastic cup. Get the yellow ball.
11. Put the yellow ball in the round slot on the green container on the shelf.
12. Get the “drawing” from the side of the red cabinet.
13. The equations on the sheet give the numbers 16, 5, 1,18, 12, which spells “pearl”. (from the h equals 8 hint.) Enter this in the green box. Take the piece of paper. (I had done this one last time but forgot to include it, sorry!)
14. All the shapes in the room have a different number of sides (1 to 8) except so that must be the light green. Go in ascending order. Blue, black, purple, dark green, yellow, light green, pink, red.
15. Take the key and use it on the door.
16. You’re out!

Reply

jo January 2, 2008 at 4:56 pm

double post, but here is a walkthrough as far as I have got personally:

We also have lots of information that we’re not sure where it goes.

We have 2+6=8=h. H might be as it is the eighth letter of the alphabet?? Just a guess, guys.
We have a geometry book that is discussing area, perimeter and angles.
On the t.v. the purple leads to a triangle. The green and red lead to each other.
When you put the drawing over the green drawing on the wall, it apparently goes red. I have yet to be able to do this.
On the back of the drawing it says a green blob then “equals ?”

Lots of the shapes are coloured…
There is a purpley triangle on the TV. Pentagon on the cup. Red octagon inside green box. Blue splodge with one side on pillow. A dark green square on the wall. The card with black shape has 2-sides. Heptagon on the sweetie. Then there’s a light green splodge on the back of the card.
This accounts for all the colours on the wall…

Will post more as I get it!

Reply

I’ve got as far as everyone else, apart from one observation: on the back of the “drawing”, there is a green splodge and it says “equals ?” could be important.

The sequence for the safe is 4 characters, and 4 characters have been discovered (4,1,2,3) yet they appear as if the 1 or the 2 does not belong. Then there is the paper which has an equatio nwhich when solved provides: 16,5,0,9,2,12. As well as 2+6=8=h. There is a geometry book which has the formulas for area and primeter…WHAT AM I MISSING GDM IT!!!

I jsut found out something, if you look at the painting (of the green square) and you then put the piece of paper with the black figure on the magnifying glass, a red shape will suddenly appear, I did it twice but I can’t get it to do it again…

when you put the yellow circle in the green box you can type below it. there’s a 5 letter word to open the box. no rectangle. The only word I could think of was green and that didn’t do it.

Korey December 31, 2007 at 3:26 pm

I only found one yellow thing when i poked the paper cup with the nail. Is there supposed to be a yellow rectangle in the same puddle? What the hell do I do with… the candy… the pallet of colors on the wall…. the tv maze… the picture on the wall… the picture in my archive… the math problems???

8 x 2 works out to 16… 3 + 2 works out to 5… 14 to the exponent 0 works out to 0… 27/3 to 9, 4 square rooted to 2, and finally 50 – 38 works out to 12… what could all of this mean? 16,5,0,9,2,12. How curious…

Anonymous December 30, 2007 at 7:09 pm

Ah! Follwing the advice I was given, I soon found that the sheet of paper I thought was blank has a rather tricky equation on it, and the paper with a dlack dot is actually a drawing. I remembered seeing a drawing hanging on a wall and proceeded to go back and have a look. The first drawing was a green square, and the drawing in my possession is a semi oval… could these perhaps symbolize items? I wonder… and what of the equation? Perhaps I should try working out the answer on my calculator.

I’ve tried everything, even mixing up the numbers. Without knowing the proper method of opening that box, nothing further can be done.

Reply

Anonymous December 29, 2007 at 12:35 pm

I’ve made a rather curious discovery… it appears that at the bottom right corner of the painting (which I had innitially thought had no purpose beyond being decorative), there is another number. But, this number has the same placement as the 2, that is, in the middle of three boxes… do they add up, or are they both in the middle and, perhaps, DO serve the purpose of opening that green box after all? Let’s find out…

Reply

Anonymous December 29, 2007 at 12:28 pm

Another thing I find myself quite drawn to often is that damnable swatch of colours on the wall… what are they there for? I remember checking the TV, it having three colours that may lead to a triangle at the bottom right. It turned out to be the purple one that lead to the triangle, but I have yet to figure out what that means for me.

Reply

Anonymous December 29, 2007 at 12:26 pm

I find myself rather drawn to the Geometry book on several occasions. I can’t help but feel it has some sort of significance of which I have not found out yet. I’ll keep searching.

Reply

Anonymous December 29, 2007 at 12:24 pm

I tried it on the green box, but it appears that it doesn’t work. Something else I’ve noticed about the box, it has four spaces to punch in four letters or numbers… perhaps this “423″ I have found is commited to some other purpose. If so, then what of the four spaces on that box? Perhaps if I search carefully, I can find the password.

Reply

Anonymous December 29, 2007 at 12:22 pm

I found the third number. It was hidden on the end table with flowers. I clicked the neck of the end table, just below the table’s platform which the cup and flowers rest on, and I found the number two, placd in the middle. When put together with all of the other numbers, it reads one single number: 423… Could this be the code for that green box?

Another discovery: I came back to finish it today, and I discovered that on the right side of the dresser with the drawers, you cn click to go to the side of it. At the side there is a little piece of paper with a faded black dot… hm… how curious.

Reply

Anonymous December 28, 2007 at 7:15 pm

Gah, I give up for now, I’ll come back some other time.

Reply

Anonymous December 28, 2007 at 7:08 pm

Another nifty tip: On the bottom of one of the pots is an equation wihch is only visible with the magnifying glass’ help. It reads: 2+6=8=h… that could be useful later.

Reply

Anonymous December 28, 2007 at 7:02 pm

Go to the paper cup and puncture it using the nail. Pick up some of the yellow contents and go to the green box on the shelf. Take the yellow contents and put them in the corresponding shape pattern on the box. Then click the narrow space on the box and I think you have to punch in the numbers you found around the room, like the 3 on the plant and the 4 on the carpet… I haven’t found the last number yet… anyway, you might have to put them in the order shown, like how when you look at the plant’s leaf, the three is clearly the last of three numbers, and the four is the first on the carpet. I don’t know the middle number yet.

After you get that key, use it on another drawer on the same dresser to get the hammer. It says in upside down letters “Magnifying glass..??”, but I don’t know what to do with that. Next, use the hammer to break the locked case where the red key is, and use that on another drawer on the right side. Pick up the paper and the plyers. Use the plyers to get the nail lying under the left shoe.
