you must take blanket of the bed,pull the brick at the bottom of the wall that is sticking out and take the tom shirt and broken prison bar of the skeleton( the prison bar will be in his hand) Use the broken prison bar with the blanket, then the tom shirt, then the torn up tom shirt with the torn up blanket. Now use the one rope made up by the tom shirt and the blanket and then use it with the remaining prison bars on the window. You can then click on the window and you’ll be outside!

to get veronica to the kings room you first have to take the piece of paper in the captain’s hand.
try going to the dining room then the kings room. I don’t know if you have to but that’s what I did.
I did everything on hailies walkthrough till b4 you get veronica in the kings room. HOW DO YOU GET HER IN THERE??

be careful in your order for this i did a few things out of sequence and now i can’t get steven to talk to me about a secret clue, can’t be bothered to start over either
And to Kayla, to tie the blanket shreds, all you need to do is use them with one another.
A big problem that people seem to be having is that they’re not interrogating all of the people correctly.
You cannot just go through and just TALK to everyone twice. You should go to the jester and ask him all the questions and see who he thinks did it. Go to that person and ask him/her all of the questions, including who he/she thought did it AND ask him/her about why you think they were the murderer. Then go to the person they thought did it and follow the aforementioned instructions.
And another problem is when Veronica won’t show up in the king’s room. If you go to the cellar and see the captain’s been hanged, then you should also see a tiny note in his left hand. Take it, look at it, and then Veronica should appear in the king’s room. If he’s not hanging there, then you should go to where he was before (next to king’s dead body) and take the letter on the far right of the screen. He should then appear hanging in the cellar.

Its a glitch if you have interrogated everybody and Cpt wont talk to you. I restarted and it worked fine. Kinda crappy ending but entertaining nonetheless.

Walkthrough
To do stuff, click the action (e.g. TAKE), point at the object on which to take the action until the text says what you want to do (e.g. TAKE smelly bucket), then click. (Some actions will take more than one click, but the key is still to pay attention to the text – if it says “use bucket with well†instead of “use bucket with ropeâ€, the action won’t work.)
1. Jail cell:
TAKE torn shirt, piece of prison bar, smelly bucket, and blanket. USE piece of prison bar with torn shirt, then with blanket. USE blanket shreds with shirt shreds. PULL brick under window. USE cloth rope with broken bars (in window). Climb out the window.
2. Outside:
Go left twice (point at the pathway until a red arrow appears, then click the arrow). USE handle of well so that hook appears, then USE smelly bucket with the rope. USE handle to lower the rope, then again to pull it up. TAKE key. Go right twice. USE key with keyhole of shed. OPEN door.
3. Shed/outside/castle:
End the shed. TAKE plunger. OPEN middle locker. TAKE dirty magazine. Go outside and go left once. GIVE dirty magazine to Jerry. Click through the conversation. Enter castle. Go to central corridor. Talk to guard captain – it doesn’t matter what you say. Go outside, TALK to John. Offer to help the captain find the killer. Enter castle, go to central corridor, and talk to the captain again. Tell him you’re the detective he wanted. Go through all the possible conversation with the captain.
4. Interrogating the witnesses:
The key here is to make sure to talk to everyone *after* they’ve been accused by someone else, so they can answer the accusation. This means you’ll need to talk to at least one person twice. I prefer to make that the jester. The loop goes: jester (throne room) – cook (kitchen; TAKE knife and carrot while you’re there) – executioner (west courtyard) – wizard (in his chamber) – maid (dining room) – gravedigger (east courtyard) – back to jester.
5. Jester: You need to have the knife before this will work! Working quickly, PULL jester’s hat, click on conversation bubble, USE plunger with jester’s staff. USE knife with jester’s staff. Go back to the kitchen and USE jester’s staff with fire.
6. Captain/king’s room:
Go back to central corridor and TALK to captain Barnes. He should ask you how the investigation is going; if he doesn’t, go back and make sure you’ve investigated all of the conversational possibilities with every member of the staff.
Click through the conversation; at the end of it, you’ll have a gold key. Go to king’s room (east corridor) and USE key with keyhole (not the door). Enter king’s chamber. TAKE letter from table and diary from under bed.
7. Maids and nerds:
Go to dining room and TALK to Veronica again. Ask her to explain the letter. Go back out and go to north corridor. Click through conversation between nerds. TALK to Tony first, then to Steven. WIth Steven, make sure you hit the topic of the super-secret clue. After you’ve finished talking to both, GIVE the button (which was in your inventory to start with) to Steven. You’ll get a worn-out-looking small key in return.
8. The runaround:
Go outside, then left. USE small key with padlock. OPEN hatch. Go inside. Examine control box to the right of the doorway. TAKE cog. USE carrot with hole. USE cog with carrot. Go back. PULL lever. Enter the room, click through the thought bubbles, then TAKE shiney [stet] object. Go back to central corridor of castle. More thought bubbles, then TAKE letter at base of column. After reading it (lots o’ clicking), go back to cellar. Poor captain; LOOK at bump on his head, then TAKE the piece of paper he’s holding. LOOK at the paper.
9. Denouement: Go back to castle, go to king’s room. TALK to Veronica, then GIVE her the piece of paper. You now have several chances to accept her bribe, but I haven’t fully explored all of those possibilities. In any case, the game is over.

b4 u can go into any other doors u have to to talk to the caption as the new detective.
to find steve, there’s a quick order in which you need to talk to people. jester, cook, and then follow the order in which they accuse people, you should end with the jester. then everything else should go smoothly

ok im stuck… im in the room with the four room signs on the pillars… theres a chef’s hat and a knife an fork but when i go that way i can not go into any room… and on the other side theres a wand and a crown, but i also can not get into any room on this side… and when i go straight on to where the guard is standing with the kings’ body he asks me 2 identify myself then kicks me out…

Make sure that you /throughly/ investigate everyone. i.e. when you learn something new; ask the person about it or why they are suspected. i think you end up talking to everyone twice. & you’ll see new questions you can ask them. once there arent anymore; you should be able to talk to the captain.

semi-dumb ending but still.
once in the cellar; the lever wont work.
you must use go to the panel with gears inside.
take the gear laying down [called a cod or something??]
use the carrot on the small hole then use the gear on the carrot.
then go back and pull the lever.
ok im wayy past the light source.
1. find jester & pull hat over eyes
2. switch out the plunger with what he is holding.
3. use knife on staff
4. light on fire from either brazier or fire in kitchen.
5. go down to the cellar.

in the cell i took the blanket and the skeletor s shirt , and used them with the pipe he was holding then i used them together and made a rope and used it on the window after i pulled thelower brik. when i went out side i used the hander of the well and used the bucket from the cell on the hook then used the handel again. took the key opend the shed opend the middel locker took the dirty mag and the plunger, i gave the dirty mad to the left gaurd he opend gate .went inside talked to detective woulddnt let me pass went out side again talked to the right gauerd then when inside again talked to the detective .i intervied every one took knife and carrot now im stuck helpppppppp
