This Maze is really annoying!!!
I can do the beginning perfectly and then as soon that I come back from the basement and the alarm is on i’m stuck on the ground floor! No matter how hard I tried changing my routes I could never find a way! That really pissed me off! =D

this game is amazing.
it takes some practise and re-tries, but it’s the best game of this type for sure.
After playing this for 10 minutes, I’ve lost my appetite.

got stuck in episode 3, not being called by liz after the trial. googled for an answer, but did not find one. many people posted the same problem. (yes, i did call kenny)
solution: replayed the game with a different user name. second time i was called by liz. concluded that the game is not 100% fault proof unfortunately.
Still one of the best escape games i played though. liked it a lot. thanks BBC.
I had called Kenny earlier but I needed to do it over again (same story happened). Calling him again lead to Leon-info and Liz calling.
Stuck in the maze. I can get to another floor, and turn on/off doors and lights, but where do i get the dagger and how to get out?
Let the guards on first floor sleep by only opening doors there.
Before going into basement turn off main switch, hurry to the basement to get the dagger and get back to ground floor.
Then comes hard part, best trick I had was on first floor letting 3 guards come together (the fourth stays on bottom of floor, the other 3 all do a round on top of the floor) by closing the doors at the right time. When those 3 guards together go down, you use the left stair to go up, quickly run to the other stair on the left on first floor and get to ground floor. Then it’s only timing that can help you get to the door on the bottom. (Not all rooms on ground floor are walked by so you can hide in them half way to the door.)
I am at the interrogation part and i followed what Heather Lee and Khan said, but i come up to the point where he tells me I am under valued and all that crap. I then tell him i don’t have the blade and he kills me! What should i do?
you bluff on EVERYTHING except whenever they ask where the blade is and if your boss appreciates you. thats it
It was a bit harder then that on my turn.
You need to make sure you don’t get punched too much, because you’ll get some punching later on and you need to survive those. So tell the truth a bit in the beginning.
How much you can still take is indicated by the color of the timer-bar when you have truth-bluff.
Never tell them you have the blade now! The trial takes about 15 to 20 questions I guess…
In episode 3 I decoded the picture that Liz sent me when saying it was a fake, and she won’t call me. I tried calling her, but that doesn’t work. Any suggestions?

OH MY GOD I have literally tried to get through the Housestead maze too many times to count. I am at my wits end. I have the briefcase and am in the upper left ground floor corner but CANNOT make it out of there alive. in the questioning tell the truth all the time except from when he asks about the blade, that way, they know you’r telling the truth about everything else and just assume u really don’t know anything about the blade. if u do give them the blade, u die! lie about the blade, nothing else!

after getting the knife in the basement i cannot get back to the first floor without getting caught. you need to return to the first floor to go to the other staircase so you’re in the right section on the ground floor. i thought that the guards would be asleep if the lights stayed off but somehow they are not. and i can’t trap them in the rooms because then i can’t get out of the stairwell. somebody help please!
Keep switching the mains off, if you think about it logiclly that could be just an electrical fault so the gaurd just turns it back on make sure you press mains off okay anything else will get you caught.

youdon’t translate. you have to go back to the computer and sedn a reply to your friend anthony. it should be on the last e-mail he send you. a short period befor you get the pic. adam say “oh i’ll e-mail him later”
How do I figure out how to get a hold of the ant?
On the map, what I did is go to the red churches first(going to the closest one to me each time). You’re doing that, correct? Because the blue church has to be gone to last, and in time. And by the way there’s little, small red squared crosses at the very edges of the screen that point the way to the churches. Just to anyone who may not know. I failed the first time out of confusion, so most of this game is a lot of trial and error type things. It’s rare to get any of this right on the first try.
Episode 1- Go to the tall cabinet thing with the several shelves. If you look up enough there’s a brief case, the object you need at the end of the first episode. Grab the rope you may or may not have inspected from earlier and click the left button(the normal clicking one, not the one that brings up menus). HOLD the left button and move your mouse upwards. That’s what they mean by dragging, to anyone who might be confused on that. Anyways, do this until the white arrow is in the middle of the brief case’s handle, but slightly above it too. Then let go. That’s what I did, and it worked. If you fail, just try again. I didn’t get it the first time either, but the second time.
Episode 2- Many have already explained this, like episode one, but here’s what you do. Be truthful except when they ask for the blade. The bar that slowly disappears every time you have to answer something tells you your health. You want this to be as high as possible, because nearing the end they won’t do anything BUT ask for the blade. In which case if you’ve been bluffing at certain places, and getting hit because you aggrivated Mr. Bulky Body Guard, you won’t survive bluffing at the end. So just tell the truth every time except with the blade. At the last second Liz saves you, unwittingly, by sending an e-mail informing you don’t have the real thing.
Episode 3- The password to get into the maze game with the mean bodyguards is ‘ABRAXUS’ I did it in all caps, but I don’t know if that actually matters. Look up ‘CDX game walkthrough’ and go through a couple sites. One of them has a good explanation of how to get through the maze. HOWEVER, I don’t know how you DON”T have the alarm triggered. For me, when the basement light and door is on, or when only the basement door is on, and then I turn off(or even left on once) the ground floor’s lighting long enough to get the dagger. Every time though, the alarm is triggered and I start back at the entrance because I died.
If anyone can explain how I DO NOT trigger this alarm, that’d be great.

well, we have tried numerous ‘fricken’ times to get ‘liz’ to visit all three churches:
( 1. san pietro, 2. san sabina, 3.san giovanni, barely made it ! )… never time though for ’san clemente’!!!..before the darn ‘fricken’ time ticks away!!!…are we just too stupid, or is there a way to speed it up, or even go around it…??!

Episode 2:
Getting the flight case down: This is a classic flash arcade game. Click and drag the arrow up past the handle of the case. When you release the mouse button, he’ll throw.
Calling Liz: If it says her number is out of service, go check your email instead.
Finding the churches: San Pietro and San Clemente in the brown book. (Did not double check those names, but that’s close, I am sure)
Episode 3:
To get through the interrogation, tell the truth on every question except when he asks you if you have the dagger or where it is.
If you get stuck waiting for a phone call from Liz, try checking and replying to any email you haven’t done so far and try calling Kenny using the speed-dial button.
Episode 4:
You should have recieved the email that said you have the fake knife. Remember what that email said was on the real knife? ABRAXAS.
I failed to get through the Houstead Maze and it looks like it isn’t worth getting through anyway. I might go try it at some point.
For the interrogation part in chapter 3, bear in mind that these guys already know all of the little details, so there’s no point in lying about things like where you work or the names of people you know.
Just remember: protect the location of the blade.
